1. Our commitment
MAD Ventures is committed to making mad.vc usable by as wide an audience as possible, including people with disabilities. We design and build with accessibility in mind and we welcome feedback from anyone who finds something on the site difficult to use.
2. Conformance target
We aim for substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Substantial conformance means that the majority of the site meets the standard, while some content (in particular, older PDFs and embedded third-party widgets) may not yet meet it in full.
3. What we have done
- Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to support screen readers.
- Keyboard-navigable navigation, including dropdown menus and dialogs.
- Sufficient colour contrast on body text, headings, and key controls.
- Descriptive alternative text on images that convey meaning.
- Visible focus states on interactive elements.
- A site structure that supports zoom and reflow on smaller screens.
4. Known limitations
- Some embedded videos rely on third-party players whose accessibility we do not control. Where possible we provide a transcript or summary alongside.
- Some PDFs (in particular older fund and research documents) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible version of a specific document, please contact us and we will provide it.
- Decorative animations on the site respect the user's reduced-motion preference where the operating system reports it.
5. Feedback and accessible formats
If you find a barrier to accessing information on this site, or if you would like a document provided in an accessible format, please contact us using the details below. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within five business days.
6. Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment rather than a fixed end-state. We test new pages and components against the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria during build, we revisit older content as we update it, and we treat accessibility issues as defects.
